Repairs & Rennos Needed at the Rescue

In 2022 we were offered the ability to rent the perfect location and building to house a large number of dogs, located in the heart of what used to be a busy highway entrance to Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo... it is now an industrial zone where noise complaints are not a thing. We spent a year renovating the old run-down building and replacing the termite-infested furniture and wood to the best of what our budget would allow. Then after living here for just over a year and assessing the street dog situation here in this area of Mexico, we decided to turn this place into a safe haven, and a holistic place of refuse for the street dogs and puppies which there are far too many of.

We are not and will never be a not-for-profit, we are interested in having a board of directors or a CEO who makes over a million dollars a year like some of those organizations out there claiming to be putting your donations to good use.

With just a small portion of what these organizations pay their CEOs, our team of local community members and rescuers could save hundreds if not thousands of dogs every single year making an actual impact on the issue with street dogs here in our beautiful state of Guerrero, Mexico!

We owe it to our community, we owe it to the tourists whose money drives this community, AND most importantly, we owe it to the dogs who deserve so much more than the humans who brought them here give them.
